CHELTENHAM FESTIVALS

From Science and Jazz Festivals to the world-famous Literature Festival, Cheltenham plays host to plenty of exciting events throughout the year.

CHELTENHAM RACECOURSE

Known as the home of jump racing, the racecourse plays host to several meetings throughout the year including The Festival and The Gold Cup.

HARESFIELD BEACON

This nearby hilltop offers amazing views across the Severn estuary and beyond, and is the perfect place to walk off a hearty Sunday lunch.

TYNDALE MONUMENT

The striking Tyndale Monument was built in 1866 in memory of writer William Tyndale, and can be found at the nearby village of North Nibley.

SLIMBRIDGE WETLAND CENTRE

Get up close to a huge variety of wildlife, from playful otters to fabulous flamingos, or spend time spotting wildfowl at the center’s nearby wetlands.

BERKELEY CASTLE

Step back in time at the enchanting Berkeley Castle. Not only are there acres of grounds to explore, but there’s also a beautiful butterfly house.

WESTONBIRT ARBORETUM

A magical collection of trees that’s open all year round. Visit during the autumn for the most spectacular displays of colour.

CHAVENAGE HOUSE

This Cotswold manor house in Tetbury has remained virtually unchanged for 400 years, and is the perfect place to relax and soak up some history.

NEWARK PARK

From walking trails and walled gardens to the historic Newark House, there’s plenty to discover at the fabulous National Trust property.

GATCOMBE PARK

The spectacular county residence of Anne, Princess Royal is just a stone’s throw from Minchinhampton and plays host to the Festival of British Eventing each year.
